Update

The Embassy of the United States of America in Santo Domingo is excited to announce that www.ustraveldocs.com/do, our new online appointment system, is now accepting nonimmigrant visa applications.

The first step in making an appointment is to fill out the DS-160 at https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/.  Second, you will use your email address to create a profile at www.ustraveldocs.com/do and print a payment confirmation.  Third, you will use the payment confirmation page to pay the application fee at any Banco Popular location.

To finish scheduling your visa appointments, return to www.ustraveldocs.com/do and log in using your same email address. Select the dates you wish to visit the Visa Application Center and the Embassy and print the confirmation page.

Read all about the new visa process. The new call center, appointment website, and document delivery service will be fully functional on November 12, 2014.  Until then, please note that customer support for the online appointment system is limited, but you can reach the Embassy at santodomingovisas@state.gov.

Applicants who have already scheduled an appointment at the Embassy do not need to make any changes—they should appear at the Embassy on the day of their appointment and follow the instructions on the appointment confirmation page.  If you are in need of an urgent appointment to interview prior to November 14, 2014 and you meet the criteria for an emergency appointment, please contact santodomingovisas@state.gov explaining your situation.
