The U.S. Consular Agency in Puerto Plata provides emergency services to American Citizens residing in or visiting the area around Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. The Consular Agency also does notarials and receives applications for U.S. passports. Passport applications are forwarded to the U.S. Consular Section in Santo Domingo (the Consular Agency's supervisory post) for processing.
Hours of Operation
Please note that the Consular Agency in Puerto Plata will be closed on Friday May 18th and Monday May 21st. We will re-open for business on Tuesday May 22nd.
Until further notice, the Consular Agency in Puerto Plata will ONLY be providing passport and notarial services on:

July 16 - July 17, 2012
If you are a resident of the North Coast and require passport or notarial services before a Consul visits Puerto Plata on these dates, please contact the Consular Assistant in Puerto Plata at 809-586-4204 for instructions.
The U.S. Consular Agency in Puerto Plata is open to the public Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to 12:30pm, and from 2:00pm to 5:00pm except for U.S. and Dominican holidays. For after-hours emergencies, please call the Duty Officer at the U.S. Consular Section in Santo Domingo, at (809) 221-2171, dial cero (0) and request to speak to the Duty Officer.
